Our Therapy Approach

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based treatment for children ages 2 to 7 who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, defiance, tantrums, and difficulty with attention. PCIT strengthens the parent-child relationship while teaching effective skills to manage anxiety-related behaviors, reduce distress, and improve emotional regulation. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) proven effective in reducing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. It helps individuals process and reframe thoughts related to traumatic experiences—including child abuse, combat, sexual assault, and natural disasters. By addressing the ways trauma can impact beliefs about safety, trust, and control, CPT supports healing, reduces anxiety, and fosters greater emotional resilience and clarity.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a structured, short-term therapy (typically 4–6 months) designed for children and adolescents ages 3 to 18 who have experienced trauma and are showing signs of traumatic stress, anxiety, or emotional dysregulation. TF-CBT helps young clients process difficult experiences, manage anxious thoughts and behaviors, and develop healthy coping skills in a supportive, age-appropriate way.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that supports individuals who struggle to regulate their emotions, manage intense behaviors, or cope with anxiety and stress.
